Composed in the composer's final months, it stands as a shattering meditation on death, combining the dramatic power of visions of the Last Judgment with the consoling sweetness of hope.

To bring this masterpiece to its highest point, Laurence Equilbey brings together two exceptional ensembles: accentus, the choir she founded over thirty years ago and which has established itself as one of Europe's choral references, and the Concentus Musicus Wien – legendary ensemble founded by Nikolaus Harnoncourt, worldwide reference for period instrument performance.
