Mt Jones

MT JONES, a new talent from Liverpool, draws inspiration from the great names of 60s and 70s soul, as well as contemporary R\&B and jazz, to create a sound that is both current and timeless.

Jones's voice, deeply soulful and instantly recognisable, transports you to the hushed atmosphere of a smoky speakeasy, while also bringing a breath of freshness and innovation.

After periods spent working regularly on the music scenes of Liverpool and London, Jones has travelled the world as a musician and written songs for other artists, earning a reputation as a songwriter who is both talented and prolific.

Early tracks ( I Won't Ever Say Goodbye and Feeling Lonely ) cemented a position as a promising new British artist.

Welcomed from the outset by strong, immediate backing from BBC Introducing, with many plays across the entire network and a spotlight as a Step Up artist on 1Xtra, Jones then released a limited-edition 7-inch vinyl: this first physical pressing sold out in a matter of weeks.
