Overview
A powerful, visceral choreography that sweeps everything along in its wake and spreads an ecstatic joy.
Greek choreographer Christos Papadopoulos, who has built an international career, has for about ten years developed a style nourished by the observation of natural phenomena and an extreme attention to micro-movements. In this creation, he unfolds an euphoric collective dance, carried by ten performers arranged as a tightly knit group, advancing with a determined step. Walking becomes the engine and the common beat. Gestures spread from one body to another, almost imperceptibly, like a wave that travels without ever disrupting the group's balance. Timed to pulsing electronic music that gradually gains in scale and volume, the movements grow ever broader, leading to joy and freedom in a collective motion.
