Gypsy jazz — Le Romain Vuillemin Trio pays tribute to Django Reinhardt with warmth and sensitivity, offering a musical journey rich in swing and originality.

Chris Jennings and Pierre Perchaud first met in Paris in 2004, at a trio concert. From that encounter, little more than twenty years ago, the Jennings/Perchaud Acoustic Duo was born straight away.

From 2004 onwards they embarked on a shared venture, with a series of duo concerts in the Netherlands, including one at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague.

In 2007 the duo was in residence in the Canadian Rockies at the Banff Centre for the Arts, followed by a tour and recordings for Canadian National Radio (CBC).

The meeting of these two musicians around their original compositions allowed them to develop an inspired music that brings writing and improvisation into harmony, drawing its influences from jazz as much as from folk and classical music.
