Nine of them were composed between 1796 and 1803, and the last in 1812, placing them squarely at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. Nearly twenty years ago, Renaud Capuçon performed and recorded this complete cycle with Frank Braley.

It showcased the expressiveness, elegance, and complementary playing of the two artists. This season, he is joined by the young Japanese Mao Fujita, winner of the Clara Haskil Prize in Switzerland and silver medallist at the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow.

The French public discovered him at the 2024 edition of the Easter festival in Aix-en-Provence, founded and directed by Renaud Capuçon, where they performed a programme of trios with Kian Soltani.
