Nine of them were composed between 1796 and 1803, and the last in 1812; from the outset they stand at the hinge between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Almost twenty years ago, Renaud Capuçon performed this complete cycle in concert and then recorded it with Frank Braley.

Expressiveness, elegance and the complementary playing of the two artists were all evident in it. This season, he is joined by the young Japanese pianist Mao Fujita, winner of the Clara Haskil Prize in Switzerland and silver medallist at the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow.

French audiences discovered him at the 2024 edition of the Easter Festival in Aix-en-Provence, founded and directed by Renaud Capuçon, where the pair performed a programme of trios alongside Kian Soltani.
