A major figure in French piano, Roger Muraro maintains a unique connection with the world of Olivier Messiaen, with whom he was very close. He has become one of his definitive interpreters: he has recorded the complete piano works and brought this work to major stages. Muraro exceptionally revives the cycle of Vingt Regards sur l'Enfant-Jésus. Composed during the Second World War, this monument of nearly two hours of music is among the pinnacles of the 20th century: twenty meditations where faith, birds, and colours merge into a sonic architecture of rare imaginative force.
