Overview
The Everest of modern piano. A mystical, colourful fresco, delivered by its leading interpreter. A monument of faith with an extraordinary sonic power.
A major figure of French piano, Roger Muraro has a unique bond with the world of Olivier Messiaen, with whom he was very close. He has become one of his reference interpreters: he recorded the complete works for piano and has brought this music to major stages. Muraro is exceptionally taking on the cycle Vingt Regards sur l'Enfant-Jésus. Composed during the Second World War, this monument of almost two hours of music ranks among the peaks of the twentieth century: twenty meditations in which faith, birds and colours blend into a sonic architecture of rare imaginative force.
