Overview
A genuinely witty bridge between the genius of Guitry and that of Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt! At age 10, Alex loses his family, who are poisoned by a dish of mushrooms. Deprived of food for having stolen two francs, he survives. His petty theft saved him, while honesty killed his own!
From there is born a strange view of the world, and he converts to cheating, in love as at the casino.
Author: Sacha Guitry / Adapter: Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt / Director: Amar Mostefaoui / Cast: Amar Mostefaoui, Françoise Boutin, Vanessa Tap, Jonathan Mercier, Christophe Daci Press: “A joyful moment of theatre, where wit prevails, where the wordplay snaps, and where laughter becomes a delicious confession of weakness.
The staging gives the monologue new energy. It is an excellent idea! ” Le petit journal d'ALEX VIZOREK “It is a delight for the ears, so rich and beautiful is the pen of Eric Emmanuel Schmitt.
It sublimates the unique novel by Sacha Guitry and allows the actors to revel in the many characters and different eras of the hero's life. ” “Paris Théâtre Blog” “The three actors show great mischief and energy that make this hour and a quarter pass in the blink of an eye.
