Overview
SIMONE VEIL “LES COMBATS D’UNE EFFRONTEE” CREATION 2021
Based on Une vie, by Simone Veil
Adaptation: Antoine Mory and Cristiana Reali
Direction: Pauline Susini
With Cristiana Reali and Noémie Develay-Ressiguier, alternating with Pauline Susini
Running time: 1h15
There is first of all that strange sensation, on this warm summer morning. As if time had suddenly stood still. As if History were reclaiming its rights. Simone Veil enters the Panthéon, with her husband Antoine. Camille's story, for her part, is only just beginning. Asked to speak about Simone Veil on a radio programme, she sets out in search of her memories as a student. Unless these are the memories of an entire generation, which grew up with the struggles of this extraordinary woman.
In the gaze of this young woman, the extraordinary life of Simone Veil suddenly appears, strikingly modern.
How does one find the strength to devote one's life to political struggle? How does one receive such a legacy?
