The Youth Play • Bedroom Vacation

If you're a fan of… The Smiths, DIIV & Bdrmm, you'll love this evening

THE YOUTH PLAY (10:00pm) (Post punk - London, UK) The Youth Play is a Mexican-British band drawing inspiration from a wide range of styles, spanning grunge and shoegaze to blues and dream pop.

Diego, the singer, is from Mexico City and used to be an environmental science researcher. He met the rest of the band when he came to the UK to focus on music, convinced he could have a greater impact on the world through his poetry and art.

Their latest EP explores how people strive to find joy in moments of despair and desolation, with lyrics touching on migrant experiences, the climate crisis and political injustices.

After a European tour with Been Stellar and several UK tours alongside bands like Wings of Desire and The Wytches, they've already caught the attention of tastemakers and respected artists, including members of Primal Scream, Jimmy Eat World and Skunk Anansie.

With new tracks planned for 2026, they keep pushing the boundaries of their musical world, proving that British music is at its best when it dares and acts as a catalyst for change. v=i6XrrftX2Tw.
