Thomas Fersen

and La Scala Like One Removes a Raincoat is an adaptation of the eponymous novel by Thomas Fersen which will be published by Seuil in May 26.

Co-production of Zouave and La Scala, this show directed by Samuel Achache will be created this summer in Avignon, then played in Paris and France until summer 2028.

Interspersed with new songs or from his repertoire, and performed by Thomas Fersen accompanied by three musicians, Like One Removes a Raincoat tells in octosyllables how, after discouraging beginnings in music and the loss of his half-time cable job, the hero is sent to Mexico by his father.

Tender and funny, Thomas Fersen lends memories of youth to his apprentice globe-trotter. With fantasy, he evokes exoticism and lushness, the devotion and religiosity of the countries traversed, offering us an allegorical vision of his adventures.

A coming-of-age journey, an epic as piquant as it is outlandish, the dangers to which the hero is exposed are so many rites of passage to adulthood. Tender and funny, Like One Removes a Raincoat carries us away by the poetic power of its writing.
