Un Fil

Presented by Le Théâtre de l'épée de bois.

In Le Fil à la patte, “Feydeau's scalpel” is all the sharper because it not only skewers our society in the relations between men and women, but also attacks a society whose members do not hesitate to use every possible subterfuge to save and maintain their social and financial positions: the crux of the war is money!

A circle of freeloaders, ruined or on the verge of ruin, gathers at the home of Lucette, a singer by trade and the reigning queen of the moment, adored by the press and the Parisian public.

She lavishly provides board and money, but beware anyone who tries to leave her little circle, where she reigns as a despot…… Fernand de Bois d'Enghien is about to pay the price of this perfect little tyrant!

Indeed, as Lucette's lover, he cannot bring himself to break with her, and yet on the very evening he signs his marriage contract with the very wealthy Viviane, daughter of Baroness Duverger.

What was bound to happen does happen: Lucette, engaged by the Baroness to provide entertainment at the small party held to celebrate the signing of the marriage contract, comes face to face with Fernand. Scandal erupts!

Neither Fernand's imagination in saving his marriage at all costs nor Lucette's vengeance will be held back. Author: Georges Feydeau. Director: Danuta Zarazik.
