SANCHEZ BROTHERS Maxime and Adrien Sanchez share a long musical history. Identical twins, they began playing together from a very young age, first around the piano, then Adrien turned to the flute and saxophone.

From the Marciac collège to the conservatoires of Toulouse and Montpellier, then to Boston for Adrien and Paris for Maxime, each pursued their own path and developed their own musical world.

In 2008, their paths came together again at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, within the jazz class.

Four years followed in which they worked together, formed several groups, among them Flash Pig and Kepler, and multiplied encounters and musical experiences.

Since then, the two brothers have become major figures on the French jazz scene, both through their personal projects and with Flash Pig, as well as alongside many French, Belgian and Swedish artists.

Their career has been recognised with several awards, among them third place for Maxime at the prestigious Thelonious Monk Competition, while Adrien is one of the three French saxophonists selected by Jazz Magazine in 2024.

To open this exceptional Vandojam, they will be joined by two loyal travelling companions, Florent Nisse on double bass and Guilhem Flouzat on drums. Together, they will present a repertoire of standards and covers, leaving ample room for improvisation and musical dialogue.

An encounter marked by complicity, listening and the pleasure of playing together, with, for the two brothers, that particular connection built over many years of shared music.
