Text: Mozart is a very young man when he begins to compose violin concertos. They are intended to serve as a backdrop to Salzburg evenings but Mozart obviously adds his own grain of salt!

He breaks away from Baroque codes to make room for the orchestra and dialogue with the soloist, and emancipates himself from French and Italian influences to impose his singular eloquence.

An excellent violinist, Mozart is at home in Salzburg where he has performed in concert since age 7. In his concertos, which he therefore performs himself, he exploits all the potential of the instrument in melodies that flow like honey to our ears.

These youthful works already testify to overflowing inventiveness, sometimes very lyrical, sometimes more frivolous but never superficial.
