Interpol is an American alternative rock, indie rock and post-punk revival band, formed in New York in 1997. Signed to Capitol Records, they released their first album, «Turn On the Bright Lights», in 2002.

About — The artist
Interpol defined the sound of the New York post-punk revival: «Turn On the Bright Lights» (2002) remains an absolute classic of the 2000s, with chiming guitars, melodic bass and Paul Banks' brooding baritone — «Obstacle 1», «Evil», «Slow Hands». Dark suits and icy elegance: the band has spanned two decades while keeping its aura intact, particularly in France, where it is adored. Their Paris concerts, dense and tense, are always sold out.
