About — The artist
Pulp is an English rock band formed in Sheffield in 1978. At their critical and commercial peak, the band was made up of Jarvis Cocker, Russell Senior, Candida Doyle (keyboards), Nick Banks, Steve Mackey (bass) and Mark Webber. The band's lyrics, described as "kitchen sink drama", combined with their references to British culture, made Cocker and Pulp reluctant figureheads of the Britpop movement.
