Chantal Ladesou - Forever

To introduce Chantal Ladesou's new show is to introduce Chantal the Icon herself, her character, her way of speaking, of seeing with her own eyes, of reminding us, as a spectator of the world, of everything that touches our hearts.

An eclectic showgirl, popular but not exclusively so, Chantal Ladesou always surprises us with her wit, her cheek, her innate flair across all media platforms: radio with Les Grosses Têtes, theatre last season with 1983, recurring TV game shows with Mask Singer, a series as a school principal in SAM, as a detective in Le Fil d’Ariane, in cinema as a fraudulent and corrupt promoter in Chasse Gardée with Didier Bourdon (the sequel of which is currently being filmed), and again in Maison de Retraite with Kev Adam (which is being adapted into a series and will soon be on the small screen too).

Placing derision at the centre of our situations in a topsy-turvy world, Chantal, sometimes even unconsciously topsy-turvy herself, forces the hand of our daily dramas by making them so human, sometimes so trivial in their flaws compared to what is essential, that they become endearing, acceptable, if not from a salutary perspective.

A Chantal show is about rediscovering the playfulness of our adolescence, it's about finding the balance, the endurance of our youth.

Her electric sketches capture our flaws and provoke our consciences without hurting them, addressing her audience from the youngest of today and yesterday to the oldest, or even older than them, in unison, when it's not an audience of young-olds or old-youngs.
