Overview
Based in Marseille, his home port, this globe-trotter brings to life a blended music mixing afrobeat, kompa and hip-hop, driven by a sunny, unifying energy.
Championed by media such as France Inter, FIP and Radio Nova, David Walters blends electronic beats, acoustic folk and Afro-Caribbean influences.
After several years devoted to television (Les Nouveaux Explorateurs on Canal+), he made a much-noticed comeback in 2020 with Soleil Kreyol.
His single Kité Koulé, taken from the album Ti Love – 2026, marks a collaboration with Keziah Jones and weaves together groove and spirituality by evoking Manman Dlo, a figure of the oceans and of memory, in an invitation to dance with the currents of life, somewhere between intimate and universal.
Cast: David Walters: vocals, guitar and percussion. Andy Berald-Catelo: drums. Xavier Belin: keyboards. Adrien Dauvergne: sound.
