Rachmaninov IIISuites for two pianos nos. 1 and 2Symphonic Dances (Rachmaninov's own transcription for two pianos)
In brief
First Prize winner of the Tchaikovsky Competition in 2015, the Russian pianist's appearances in France to date have drawn nothing but praise and acclaim. This was the case with a dazzling performance of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 with the National Orchestra in 2020, followed by his first recitals at the Roque-d'Anthéron festival, at the Philharmonie de Paris and here at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.
This season he takes on the challenge of performing Rachmaninov's complete piano works across three recitals. For this third instalment, he will perform the Symphonic Dances in a transcription by the composer himself.
