Flopi ! Flopi !

Show by the duo Huile d'olive et Beurre salé

Fabienne Morel and Debora Di Gilio take you along the Breton and Italian paths of these great tales of our childhood and unearth traditional versions from their own homelands.

The three heroes with corkscrew tails are thus dethroned by three Breton hens and the famous grandmother-eater by a hairy Italian ogress. The two storytellers revisit the tradition with boundless energy.

Rhythm, song, mimicry, bodies that tell the story, two voices intertwining and a touch of Italian: these are the ingredients of this show full of freshness and humour, where you will rediscover all the flavour of cartoons.

The hairy ogress, the first story of the show, is inspired by an Italian version of Le Petit Chaperon rouge. You can find it as a book and CD set published by Syros, illustrated by Nathalie Choux.

La poulette et les trois maisonnettes, the second story of this show, has also been published as a book and CD set. It is likewise illustrated by Nathalie Choux and published by Syros. The duo Nos chemins se sont croisés met in 2004 during a storytelling training course. ).

We shared our worlds and our stories. We discovered common ground: a taste for dance and traditional singing. Then, in 2005, a first attempt at a story in two voices, just like that, to see, for fun. And straight away, great pleasure in building and telling, and the spark flew.

The audience was immediately won over by this astonishing chemistry. ; Credits: © Huile d'Olive et Beurre Salé
