Conceived as a nursery for young talents, the Junior Ballet of the Opéra national de Paris reflects the Opéra de Paris's desire to offer innovative forms of creation, training, and transmission. Its young artists, aged 18 to 25, engaged for a period of two years, present an exceptional show on stage comprising works from the repertoire enriched with contemporary creations.
On the programme: a virtuoso choreography of heightened romanticism, a freshly bloomed creation, a suspended moment between contact and letting go.
And to finish with a touch of energy and fantasy, a ballet by José Martinez, a vibrant tribute to the greatest names in dance: Balanchine, Noureev, Fred Astaire, Forsythe, Gallotta… not forgetting Louis XIV "Le Roi soleil"!
