Overview
Conceived as a nursery for young talent, the Junior Ballet of the Paris National Opera reflects the Paris Opera's determination to offer innovative forms of creation, training and transmission. Its young artists, aged 18 to 25 and engaged for a two-year term, present on stage an exceptional show made up of works from the repertoire enriched with contemporary creations.
On the programme: a virtuoso choreography of exacerbated romanticism, a brand-new creation, and a moment suspended between contact and letting go.
To finish on a note of energy and whimsy, a ballet by José Martinez, a vibrant tribute to the greatest names in dance: Balanchine, Noureev, Fred Astaire, Forsythe, Gallotta… not forgetting Louis XIV ‘Le Roi soleil’!
