Courage is not always spectacular. Sometimes it lies simply in daring to speak in public or to defend a position in the face of contradiction. In an era marked by polarisation and quick certainties, eloquence remains one of the most precious tools of democratic debate.
On the occasion of Nuit du Droit (Night of Law), the Théâtre de la Concorde hosts a major public speaking competition organised by the Legal Affairs Department of the City of Paris in partnership with several universities from the Ile de France region.
The eight student finalists will come to defend their arguments in oratorical jousts focused on courage. Facing the audience and the jury, they will use their talent for persuasion to address the major issues facing our society.
An evening where law leaves the lecture halls to rediscover its living, civic, and profoundly democratic dimension!
