Overview

Mon Frère François Gremaud theatre Salle Tardieu Estimated duration 1h45 Bilingual show in French and French Sign Language (LSF), surtitled in French Brotherhood and deafness François Gremaud's shows always lead with the heart, with humour and intelligence never far behind.

This artist, blessed with enormous appeal, turns to his own brother Christian, who is Deaf, to pay tribute to his everyday heroism in a world not always willing to accommodate difference.

Paired with his brother François, who translates for him live, Christian tells us his life story in detail, its hardships and its hurdles, in his own language, LSF. As visual as it is poetic, French Sign Language has come a long way, having withstood repeated attempts to erase it.

It's this invigorating vitality that this generous show celebrates, making a point of carrying hope and bringing people together.
