Overview
To close the season, Laurence Equilbey conducts Insula camerata: the orchestral academy that Insula orchestra founded in 2025 to pass on historically informed performance on period instruments to a new generation of young musicians – 32 instrumentalists from 12 nationalities, aged 18 to 30.
On the road to Paris, the ensemble follows in Mozart's footsteps. First stop is Mannheim, where the composer wrote his Flute Concerto No. 1: a virtuosic and refined piece, entrusted to Anna Besson, whose diaphanous tone and sovereign line bring out all its grace.
Then comes the arrival in the capital. Mozart composed the Overture Parisienne No. 2 and Symphony No. 31 “Paris” there, conceived to charm with its breadth and brilliance.
Performances by Ballet Preljocaj Junior accompany this journey, extending the energy of the orchestra into movement. An evening that celebrates both Mozart's genius and the future of historical performance – carried by a generation of musicians at the start of a great adventure.
Duration: 1h15 without interval. PROGRAMME: MOZART Ouverture Parisienne n° 2 Concerto pour flûte n° 1 Symphonie n° 31 « Paris »
