Overview
The Two Gabriels Two rare masterpieces of French Romanticism finally brought together on record and in concert. For the release of its new album on Alpha Classics, the Quintette Syntonia invites the public of Salle Cortot to discover two rare and flamboyant works from the French repertoire: Gabriel Dupont's Poème and Gabriel Pierné's Quintette op. 41. Between Franckian heritage, post-romantic impulses, and harmonic refinement, these scores deploy an almost orchestral intensity and great sonic sensuality. After several critically acclaimed recordings, Syntonia continues its work of rediscovering forgotten masterpieces, with the exacting standards and commitment that define its identity. A journey into the heart of the French musical Belle Époque by performers who are passionate about this repertoire.
