Overview
Recital by Katia and Marielle Labèque. Acclaimed the world over for their virtuosity and musical rapport, sisters Katia and Marielle Labèque return to the Palais Garnier.
The two celebrated French pianists showcase a repertoire of women composers still largely unexplored over their 55-year career.
On two pianos or four hands, they bring pieces by Fanny Mendelssohn, Hélène de Montgeroult, Marie Jaëll, Grażyna Bacewicz and Nina Simone into dialogue with works by Felix Mendelssohn, Gabriel Fauré and Maurice Ravel, most of them dedicated to women.
