Récital Nadine Sierra - Mozart - Donizetti

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) and Gaetano Donizetti (1797-1848) Running time: 1h50 including interval A radiant star of the greatest international stages, soprano Nadine Sierra makes a stop at the Opéra Royal for an evening marked by virtuosity and emotion. This programme, blending the clarity of the greatest Mozart arias with the refinement of Donizetti's bel canto, marks the first collaboration of the American soprano with the Orchestre de l'Opéra Royal, which will continue with a tour of around ten dates in France and Spain! The first half celebrates the genius of Salzburg: from the suspended melancholy of the aria "Ruhe Sanft" from Zaïde to the amorous doubts of the Countess in The Marriage of Figaro, between airy sweetness and dramatic precision. After the interval, the tone changes to make way for vocal pyrotechnics and the theatre of emotions. Donizetti's heroines, from the mischievous Norina in Don Pasquale to the tragic Lucia di Lammermoor, offer the performer a ground of total expression. Accompanied by the Orchestre de l'Opéra Royal under the baton of Victor Jacob, Nadine Sierra displays all her panache here. Between dazzling symphonic overtures and bravura arias, this recital promises to be one of the great lyric moments of the Opéra Royal's season, which welcomes the great diva for the very first time in its history!
