Overview
Presented by Le Baiser Salé - 1-016846 / 2-016877 / 3-0187 Thierry Péala voice, Verioca Lherm voice/guitar, Roberto De Oliveira trombone, Edmundo Carneiro percussion
For twenty years, Thierry Péala and Vérioca Lherm have explored a musical territory where vocal jazz and Brazilian music meet, driven by a taste for rhythm, improvisation and the pleasure of playing together. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of their duo, they revisit the highlights of their repertoire, moving between their own compositions and pieces by a few great figures of Brazilian music: Tania Maria, Edu Lobo, Joyce Moreno… For this exceptional evening, they will be joined by percussionist Edmundo Carneiro, a long-standing travelling companion of Tania Maria, and will welcome for the first time Brazilian trombonist Roberto de Oliveira, a disciple of the legendary Raul de Souza. A generous and lively anniversary concert, combining jazz, samba, improvisation and the rhythms of Brazil.
