Alela Diane + Elias Dris

SEATED CONCERT - Unreserved seating. After more than ten years of a quiet but remarkable career in contemporary folk, Alela Diane returns on 22 May with Who's Keeping Time? (Fluff & Gravy / Loose Music).

Her seventh album was born from a mix of intuition, coincidence and collective momentum. The passing of folk legend Michael Hurley last April deeply affected the artist.

Taking part in a tribute concert, she found in this shared grief a new source of inspiration: reconnecting with music and her community. After several solo projects, she felt the need to create with others, and wrote new songs in her attic.

At Clay Street Studios, she brought in drummer Danny Austin-Manning, co-producer Sam Weber and bassist Sebastian Owens. Together, they recorded fifteen tracks live in under five days.

Several artists, including Anna Tivel, Peter Lalish and other Pacific Northwest musicians, contributed to the album. The final record, made up of 11 tracks, moves between tenderness, intensity and cinematic flights.

Alela Diane's voice is more vibrant than ever, carried by lyrics that show a rare ability to move through pain with grace. Praised by outlets such as Pitchfork, NPR Music and The Guardian, she stands as an essential figure of contemporary folk.

, Alela Diane turns grief into collective momentum and affirms, more than ever, the timeless power of her music. Support: Elias Dris
