Billy Cobham - Time Machine

BILLY COBHAM is one of the finest drummers in the world. He is an architect of rhythm, and his playing is always precise, whether in power or in restraint.

A pillar of jazz-rock fusion, Billy Cobham took part in the groups that founded the genre, unleashing energetic blows of his drumsticks on Miles Davis's album "Bitches Brew" and with guitarist John McLaughlin's Mahavishnu Orchestra.

Cobham also influenced the electronic and hip-hop scene: his "Stratus", covered by Massive Attack, gave rise to the equally famous track "Safe from Harm" by the British group.

The Billy Cobham's Time Machine project takes the form of a septet bringing together a rhythm section made up of Billy on drums, Gary Husband on keyboards, Rocco Zifarelli on guitar and Victor Cisternas on bass, along with a brass trio comprising Antonio Baldino on trumpet, Bjorn Arko on saxophone and Andrea Andreoli on trombone.
