Overview
Presented by La Compagnie de L'Elan. Directed by Élise Rouby. With: Théo Metalli, Élise Rouby. Create. Love. Destroy. And start again.
Yesterday, today and surely tomorrow… There are stories that cross the centuries without losing their force, because they speak less of an era than of the passion that becomes vertigo, of a power capable of raising one to genius as much as of plunging one into the abyss.
Behind the story inspired by the relationship between George Sand and Alfred de Musset lies the desire to make heard what continues to resonate within us: the desire to be loved and to possess, the difficulty of truly meeting another person, the coexistence of excess and frustration, and what remains when love refuses to disappear… This love that feeds art, and in which creation becomes a battlefield, in a dance where every embrace already bears the mark of death.
This show asks what remains when two geniuses love each other too intensely to live together and too deeply to truly part…
