Presented by La Compagnie de l'Elan. A comedy where every word opens or closes the heart: Musset revisits love with wit and elegance. On a cold winter evening, a Count visits a Marquise in the intimate, hushed setting of her drawing-room.

Both, caught in reserve and modesty, circle around their feelings without ever naming them directly. Through a series of lively and subtle dialogues, they seek each other out, challenge each other, hesitate, then gradually cross the threshold of confession.

This game of open or closed doors becomes the symbol of their hesitations and their desire to reveal themselves without fully committing.

Behind the apparent lightness of the conversation, the play highlights the complexity of romantic relationships: fear of rejection, hope of being loved, vulnerability in the face of the other.
