Jesse Welles

Hailing from Arkansas, Jesse Welles is a singer-songwriter and guitarist who blends folk, Americana and rock energy to offer an unfiltered take on the contemporary world. With direct, incisive lyrics, he addresses social tensions, the contradictions of our era and the emotions that run through us, without imposing a point of view, while leaving room for hope.

In 2024, he came to wider attention through performances filmed in the open air, beneath the power lines of Arkansas forests. Shot on a simple smartphone, his videos went viral and introduced songs such as "War Isn't Murder", "The Poor" and "United Health" to millions of listeners. Within two years, he released eight albums and collaborated with artists including Joan Baez, Billy Strings, Margo Price and Sierra Ferrell.

Praised by Rolling Stone, NPR and Billboard, Jesse Welles also stands out on stage, notably on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. In 2026, he received several Grammy Award nominations for his albums Under The Powerlines (April 24 – September 24) and Middle, as well as for his songs "Middle" and "Horses". With Masks Off, his album released in 2026, he continues an uncompromising body of work, driven by raw and deeply human songwriting.

Following a sold-out show at La Boule Noire in 2025, Jesse Welles will return to his Parisian audience on the stage of the Trianon on 16 February next!
