La Tendresse du ventre de la baleine

A care show in which eight dancers, all dressed in blue, envelop the audience in a collective wave, tender, hypnotic and liberating!

A blue wave, like a unifying movement, runs through the audience with a creative gentleness. Where pulse and rhythm become the vital forces of a piece of dance, music and, above all, relationships. An act of sharing, sensory and free.

Géraldine Chollet choreographs relationships in transformation, seeing dance as a means of creating connection, care and solidarity. Hence the idea of tenderness, as she freely draws on the myth of Jonah, who crosses the sea in the belly of a whale.

Jonah is eventually spat out, carrying within him or her fragments of a forgotten dance: the dance of joy, whose deep resonances Chollet stirs in each of us.

This immemorial memory invites sharing and openness, Jonah's journey being evoked in the Christian, Jewish and Islamic scriptures. And the encounter is there.

The audience takes its place in a square space to be surrounded and even passed through by eight dancers, all dressed in blue, arriving in waves, between delicacy and frenzy, accompanied by a guitarist-singer and a DJ.
