Created in 2010, The Amazing Keystone Big Band brilliantly embodies the spirit of the great ensembles from the swing-king era and the virtuosity of contemporary jazz. Accomplices since their time at the Conservatoire, pianist Fred Nardin, saxophonist Jon Boutellier, trombonist Bastien Ballaz, and trumpeter David Enhco lead and arrange for the ensemble. Tonight, they accompany Neïma Naouri in a tribute to Judy Garland, an artist whom the young performer reveres above all others. It must be said that Neïma has been passionate about American musicals since a very young age and excels in them. She was recently applauded in Gypsy at the Philharmonie de Paris and during a “Broadway en famille” concert right here alongside her parents Natalie Dessay and Laurent Naouri. No doubt, a star is born.
