L'arpeggiata

L'Arpeggiata is a European early music ensemble led by Christina Pluhar, who founded it in 2000. The group presents both traditional early music and themed or composite performances and recordings.

The ensemble focuses on seventeenth-century Italian, French, and English music. In their playing, they often turn to instrumental improvisation, working with both baroque musicians and jazz musicians.

The group's regular members are Christina Pluhar (theorbo), Doron David Sherwin (cornetto), Veronika Skuplik (baroque violin), David Mayoral (percussion), Marcello Vitale (baroque guitar), Boris Schmidt (double bass), Eero Palviainen (archlute and baroque guitar), Sarah Louise Ridy (baroque harp), Margit Übellacker (psaltery), Haru Kitamika (harpsichord and organ), Mira Glodeanu (baroque violin), Rodney Prada (viola da gamba), and Josetxu Obregón (baroque cello).
