About — The artist

Magic System is an Ivorian music group known for zouglou, coupé-décalé, dance, and Afropop genres, formed in 1996 in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.

At its inception, the group had over fifty members, the most well-known today being A'salfo, A2MZ, Maximilien, Imane, and Camsko. Their sound draws from zouglou. Their songs are notably used to denounce a sense of unease and all forms of abuse in Ivorian society.

However, disagreements arose within the original formation, which split and gave birth to the group as it is known today.

Their greatest successes are festive-themed songs, such as the singles: Premier Gaou (2002), Un gaou à Oran (2004), Bouger bouger (2005), C chô, ça brûle (2006), Zouglou Dance (2007), Même pas fatigué (2009), Ambiance à l'africaine (2011), Chérie coco (2011), and Magic in the Air (2014).
