Presented by Opéra de Massy L-R-20-10479 / 10875 / 10877) The Vollard Theater of Reunion invites the public to discover a rare facet of lyrical creation from overseas territories.

The show brings together excerpts from Maraina, Chin and Freedom, works by Jean-Luc Trulès and Emmanuel Genvrin, for a musical journey into the heart of Reunion's history.

On stage, the voices of soloists Magali Léger, Aurore Ugolin and Jean-Loup Pagesy dialogue with a choir bringing together singers from Reunion and Madagascar and the Darius Milhaud Choir.

In a contemporary setting mixing plexiglass and video projections, the show traverses different eras: from the island's first inhabitants to the social struggles of the 20th century, to the emergence of free radios in the 1990s.

Between the rhythms of the Indian Ocean and lyrical writing, this musical fresco makes heard a living memory, carried by the collective energy of voices and the richness of Creole cultures.
