Mozart, entre ombre et lumière

The Orchestre de l'Opéra de Massy performs the major works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart remains one of the major figures of the Classical period in music. Born in Salzburg in 1756 and dying in Vienna in 1791, this composer, pianist and conductor left a lasting mark on the history of music alongside his contemporaries Joseph Haydn and Ludwig van Beethoven. His vast catalogue encompasses the symphony, chamber music, the concerto and opera.

On stage, the Orchestre de l'Opéra de Massy offers a rigorous performance of these historic scores. The ensemble brings out the nuances of this orchestral writing with a classical instrumentation faithful to the demands of the era.

This evening is aimed at lovers of classical music and at curious listeners keen to hear this symphonic repertoire performed live. The Opéra de Massy hall hosts the concert within its acoustic space dedicated to operatic and orchestral performances.
