« Corps extrêmes » de Rachid Ouramdane / Compagnie de Chaillot

On stage, a climbing wall towers over a dozen acrobats sent soaring through the air, among whom a highliner moves along a wire. These bodies in motion, almost flying, offer both a documentary testimony and a poetic crossing. In Corps extrêmes, a show that has reached 75,000 spectators around the world, vertigo is never far away, but the take-off is assured.

When Rachid Ouramdane created Corps extrêmes in 2021, the choreographer wished to « [se] focaliser sur la fascination qu’exercent les notions d’envol, d’état d’apesanteur, de suspension, de planer…  ».

Alongside him, he brings together an unconventional community driven by a love of freedom, made up of two emblematic practitioners of extreme sports – a highliner and a climber – and eight acrobats.

Together, they create a show full of height and lightness, moving between sky and earth, with an imposing climbing wall at the back of the stage serving as the main point of support.

Crossed high up by a long wire, the stage is at times transformed into a vast screen onto which are projected images – quite literally dizzying – of highliner Nathan Paulin and climber Nina Caprez in action, set against magnificent natural landscapes.

The voices of these two exceptional athletes, as well as that of aerialist Airelle Caen, also weave in as voice-overs, each offering a personal account of their practice.

This spectacular human and artistic adventure, recounting extraordinary experiences, has since toured the world, meeting an ever more enthusiastic audience. Duration: 1h Category: Dance Ages 8 and up, Young audiences, Family Pass
