Overview
Trust is one of the foundations of any collective life. It makes it possible to pass things on, create, debate, love and act together. It circulates between generations, nourishes institutions, accompanies works and gives each person the chance to find their place in the world.
At a time when democracies are marked by distrust, when certainties are fragmenting and narratives clash more than they engage in dialogue, the Théâtre de la Concorde devotes the month of November to that quiet force that connects people and makes living together possible. Through shows, encounters, concerts, debates and workshops, November invites audiences to experience trust: the trust that is passed on, the trust that is built through speech, and the trust that allows us to imagine the future.
Connecting
Trust grows through the stories we share. They shape how we see the world, nourish our imagination and create bonds between generations. From 30 October to 7 November, 24 Place Beaumarchais, by Adèle Gascuel, staged by Brahim Koutari (based on an original idea), tells the story of a life in which theatre becomes a space for emancipation, transmission and encounter. A singular story that shows how a work can transform a trajectory.
On 3 November, the encounter Nos forêts, nos vies with Catherine Meurisse, Geoffroy Delorme, Olivia Gay and Jean-Denis Pendanx blends storytelling, observation of the living world, drawing and music to raise awareness of the fate of forests and to mobilise us to protect what surrounds us: trees, animals, winds, the beauty of living things.
On 4 November, Rose Lamy and Marion Mulmann will talk about the illustrated book En bons pères de famille, and cross their perspectives on words, family stories and the representations that still shape our imaginations.
On 7 November, Paul Serri's music cycle puts the spotlight on the Sonate pour violon et piano by César Franck. Through the dialogue between the instruments, music becomes an experience of listening, transmission and mutual trust.
