Nimble

Drawing on the footwork of boxers, the Belgian choreographer chooses to focus on the lower body, revealing a rare and powerful dimension of movement.

Nimble treats space as a dimension in its own right. How does a collective body of nine individuals position itself within it, and how does it transform there? The performers never stop moving, exchanging rhythms and shifting from group to unity. The soundtrack, created and performed live by the artists, accompanies this flow in a whirl of polyrhythms, loops and live electronics. The piece unfolds as a pulsing choreography in which movement and music propel each other, turning the stage into a vibrating, collective organism.
