Récital d’orgue : Samuel Liégeon

Across the centuries, the links between music and the visual arts have never ceased to inspire artists.

This recital explores this fruitful dialogue by pairing one of the masterpieces of the piano repertoire, Les Tableaux d'une exposition by Modeste Moussorgski, with the art of improvisation, in which an image becomes the starting point for an instant musical creation.

Samuel Liégeon's transcription for organ reveals the full orchestral richness and evocative power of Moussorgski's work.

Alongside it, his Résonances picturales offer an original journey inspired by major works in the history of painting, from the Renaissance to contemporary creation.

In the exceptional resonance of the grand organ of Notre-Dame de Paris, each improvisation brings to life an unprecedented sound world, extending through music the colours, forms and movements suggested by the image.

A concert in which listening becomes another way of contemplating, at the crossroads of creation, imagination and artistic emotion.
