Self-taught, Danyl began producing very early for himself and others. Author, composer and beatmaker, he is among the first artists to create tracks live on the Twitch platform. Danyl is Franco-Algerian and draws on raï sonorities to build his musical universe.
Inspired by his dual culture and the modernity of his era, he releases sounds that he brings together under the name Khedma (work in Arabic). "In France I'm just another Arab and in the home country I'm a zmigri", Danyl wonders in the track Mazel.
"Zmig" or "Zmigri", derived from the French word "émigré", is the pejorative term by which Algerians call French people of Maghrebi origin. By choosing to name his first album this way, the young Parisian decides to turn this stigma into a double wealth.
