Overview
Self-taught, Danyl began producing for himself and for others at a very young age. A songwriter, composer and beatmaker, he is among the first artists to create tracks live on the Twitch platform. Danyl is of French-Algerian origin and draws on raï sounds to build his musical universe. Inspired by his dual culture and the modernity of his time, he releases sounds that he brings together under the name Khedma (meaning "work" in Arabic).
« En France j’suis qu’un arabe de plus et au bled j’suis un zmigri », Danyl marvels in the track Mazel. "Zmig" or "Zmigri", derived from the French word "émigré", is the pejorative term by which Algerians refer to French people of North African origin. By choosing to title his first album this way, the young Parisian decides to turn this stigma into a double richness. First album ZMIG, released on 16 January 2026.
