Autodidacte, Danyl a commencé très tôt les productions pour lui comme pour les autres. Auteur, compositeur et beatmaker, il fait partie des premiers artistes à créer des morceaux en live sur la plateforme Twitch.
Danyl est franco-algérien et puise dans les sonorités raï pour construire son univers musical. Inspiré par sa double culture et la modernité de son époque, il sort des sons qu’il rassemble sous le nom de Khedma (le travail en arabe).
« En France j’suis qu’un arabe de plus et au bled j’suis un zmigri », s’étonne Danyl dans le titre Mazel. « Zmig » ou « Zmigri », issu du mot français « émigré », c’est le terme péjoratif par lequel les algériens appellent les français d’origine maghrébine.
En choisissant d’appeler son premier album ainsi, le jeune parisien décide de faire de ce stigmate une double richesse. Premier album ZMIG, sortie le 16 Janvier 2026.
