It's one of the most demanding pages in the repertoire, given the vocal rollercoaster it demands at a breakneck pace. This scene sums up the whole work, which unfolds from start to finish at a truly whirlwind pace.
Sterbini's brilliant libretto tangles together misunderstandings, quarrels and countless twists and turns, which the composer translated with an intelligence and vivacity you can only immerse yourself in with delight. Production Les Grandes Voix
