"The discovery of a small book by Marcel Proust, called "À propos de Baudelaire", was the trigger for daring to confront this poet. Not knowing how to approach him, this sentence by Proust caused a revelation: "Nothing is so Baudelairean as Phèdre, and nothing is so worthy of Racine […] as Les Fleurs du mal. " From this statement, a direction for the performance of Baudelaire's poetry emerged. Having researched his life, I also incorporate into this reading the perceptions of Paul Bourget, Nietzsche, or Rimbaud on Charles Baudelaire. I dedicate this reading to my friends Jean-Pierre Marielle, who adored Baudelaire, and Laurent Terzieff, a great poetry enthusiast, as well as to my theatre teacher Jean-Laurent Cochet.
