About — The artist
The Tallis Scholars is a British early music vocal ensemble founded in 1973, specialising in the repertoire of sacred a cappella music.
The ensemble features two to three singers per voice part (treble, mean, countertenor, tenor, bass), with a total complement of ten to fifteen singers.
After winning a Gramophone Award in 1987, The Tallis Scholars were recognised as one of the planet's foremost ensembles in Renaissance polyphony.
